Marni Pickens is a little bit country, a little bit rock and roll, and a lot of bass player. Born in the shadows of the Colorado Rocky Mountains, she moved to New York City as a mere teen. As a city-dweller Marni learned how to navigate intricate subway systems, how to use cuss words effectively, and how to play just about any type of music wafting through the mean city streets. From CBGB to the Bitter End, she has performed and recorded with such luminaries as Kristen Thien, Torin Alter, David Driver, Gretchen Phillips, Joey Ramone, and recent Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee, Ronnie Spector.
Marni is delighted to be pickin’ with some remarkably talented women who have even more giddyup than she.
